  • Rake leaves for seniors on the United Way Make a Difference Day. Helping Build a Stronger Community through our Community Impact. Community Impact is an effort that’s owned by the entire community. We promise to direct those resources into long-term solutions that target the underlying causes of issues that affect our community.

Plymouth Community United Way’s agency partners are doing great work every day, and there will always be a need for basic needs, prevention, and development programs. Community Impact takes that work one step further. Working together with a broad range of community partners – partner agencies, schools, faith-based groups, businesses, energized individuals, local government, and more – we’re seeking results that no one can accomplish alone.

  • Thanksgiving meal distribution in coordination with the Plymouth GoodFellows. "The mission of the Plymouth Goodfellows is to provide toys and clothing to children of need and food to their families at Christmas time." In 2023 the Plymouth Goodfellows helped 53 families and 124 children.

  • Salvation Army Meal and Toy Distribution - Doing the most good! Salvation Army Programs are led by Salvation Army Officers. These officers are responsible to lead by assessing needs, delivering programs and directing ministries for our local community. From serving food to balancing the books, they function as the Executive Directors and the Pastors for The Salvation Army of Plymouth.

  • A Peace Pole is an international symbol of Peace. Peace Poles display the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” and usually include the saying in the language of the country where it has been placed, and usually three to seven additional translations.

  • Peace Award - As a humanitarian organization, peace is a cornerstone of our mission. We believe when people work to create peace in their communities, that change can have a global effect.

By carrying out service projects and supporting peace fellowships and scholarships, our members take action to address the underlying causes of conflict, including poverty, discrimination, ethnic tension, lack of access to education, and unequal distribution of resources.

Our commitment to peace building today answers new challenges: how we can make the greatest possible impact and how we can achieve our vision of lasting change. We are approaching the concept of peace with greater cohesion and inclusivity, broadening the scope of what we mean by peace building, and finding more ways for people to get involved.

Each year the Plymouth AM Rotary recognizes a local community member who has gone above and beyond to promote peace.

Rotary creates environments where peace can happen.

  • Starkweather Academy Breakfast - At Starkweather we believe all students are unique and have different needs in the classroom. We believe students should have a voice in their education and be responsible for their learning plans.  We believe all students can succeed in school. The Plymouth AM Rotary sponsors the graduation class breakfast so they can have the same senior experience as other schools.

  • Scholorships - We provide college and trade school scholarships for commuinity children who have endured life challenges. With matching funds from Schoolcraft College we sponsor six to eight students a year.

  • Parc Life - We provide neuro-affirming, community-based, therapeutic services in social, recreational, and natural environments for people with *autism and other thinking and learning differences.

At PARClife we believe that community needs to feel safe and understanding so we've created our programs to embrace our Learners right where they are.

Each program is designed to support and nurture growth in specific age groups. This allows us to focus on very specific needs. Ages 2-6 and 11-Adult
