Roger Alan Daoust enlisted in the Marine Corps in March 1966, serving as personal radio operator for Mike Co, 3rd Battalion, 5th Regiment during his 12-month Vietnam tour. Wounded in action September 13, 1967, he was honorably discharged in July 1968. After earning a Law Enforcement degree, he worked as a police officer at BGSU, rising to Acting Police Chief. Roger was a devoted father to Julie and Suzan, known for his protective nature and ability to make everyone feel welcome.
